Traces of Celtic fields.

Edgwarebury Lane
Originally connected to Fortune Lane until enclosure in 1854 when it was subsequently diverted. Locally it was once known as Roman Road.
Edgwarebury Hotel. As Edgwarebury house it was the country home of armaments manufacturer Trevor Dawson, managing director of Vickers. The 19th Tudor-style building claims to date back to 1540. It was converted into a hotel in the 1960s, and operated as the Edgwarebury Country Club.  It has featured in many TV and film productions, such as The Devil Rides Out in 1968 and appeared in the Avengers and East Enders.
Norwegian Barn. Used by the hotel, Sophia Loren stayed here while filming locally and had her jewellery stolen. The site was used for a new house controversially built in 2001
