Thought to have been a prehistoric trackway, also called Ridgeway
West London Shooting Grounds. The West London Shooting School was founded in 1901. It was originally based at Perivale, on the Hoover Building site but moved to Northolt in 1931. Since opening there has a 17 metres high earth bund has been constructed to increase capacity and to accommodate corporate events.  There is a landscaped lawn, trees, a lake and vegetation. The shooting grounds are overlooked by the shooting lodge which includes staff houses, shop and an office

My parents moved into Bournemead Avenue earky 1949. If, as I believe, that road is on teh Nohrtolt Grange estate, then it must have been built in the 1940s.
